The Literary Duck accepts course book orders from faculty in person, via fax, by mail, by email or by using our convenient
ONLINE ADOPTION.

We send out hard-copy, triplicate order forms to each department for distribution to the faculty approximately one month in advance of the deadline. These forms can be faxed, mailed or delivered in person.

If you do not receive an order form, you may submit your own signed hard copy order as long as it contains the information that is required on our order forms. You may also use the email/online options. You may call us with additions or changes once you have already submitted your order.
NOTE: We do not accept initial orders over the phone.
The Literary Duck is not involved in the production of the packets and does not determine the quantity that is printed. In order to help students save the most money, packets sold at the Literary Duck are provided to students at very close to cost. All course packet requests must be done through the Copyright Clearance Office located at Broadway and High Streets. To contact the Copyright Clearance Office, call (541) 346-5370. The Literary Duck receives the finished packets from Campus Copy and sells them with the course books for classes.

If you are planning to use a course packet for your class, it is helpful to indicate this with your book order so we can be sure to reserve shelf space for it.

Please consider the overall cost of your course packet when submitting your book list. In certain cases, it can be more cost effective for your students to utilize the UO Library E-Reserve program. The E-Reserve Program allows students to read and print online articles, electronic documents and submitted articles. The materials you submit to E-Reserves must comply with the University Libraries' Copyright Guidelines, which are different than those required for course packets.
